Wednesday night was a very memorable evening for Colby in that he finally lost his first tooth! The anticipation of losing that first tooth had plagued him the past couple of months as he watched more and more of his friends become snaggle-toothed. Many a night Colby would ask his mom to wiggle ALL his teeth to see if any of them were loose yet.......... so, it was with great satisfaction that the big event finally occured! The kids were playing in the gym at church and in typical Colby fashion, he leisurely walked up to Ms. Britney and told her that his mouth was bleeding. When she asked him if he got hit in the mouth with the basketball, he simply replied... "no, my tooth just fell out." And fell it out did -- apparently the permanent tooth got tired of being crowded and just pushed that baby tooth out. The tooth was placed in the special 'Tooth Fairy Pillow' and tucked under the pillow to await the arrival of the fabulous Tooth Fairy. The next morning at 4:13 AM, Colby ran and jumped up and down on his mom's bed waving his $5 bill (yes, the Tooth Fairy took a poll and $5 is the going rate nowadays for a tooth!) in the air. He then yelled, "Mom, I think my other tooth is loose.... maybe it will fall out tonight!!!" Note to Tooth Fairy: Stop by the ATM!

The 'First' Lost Tooth
Ah, the missing tooth.... and yes, that is a remnant of breakfast on his cheek!
