Sayonara Kindergarten..... 1st Grade Here He Comes!!!!

It is official; Colby has finished Kindergarten!!!!! Just 9-1/2 short months ago, his mom took him for his 1st day at his new school and when she pulled the camera out to record the monumental occasion, he said... "put the camera away -- you are NOT taking my picture!" At times, the year proved a bit challenging for the young socialite.... as visiting and being in the middle of it all is Colby's battle cry (not sure at ALL where he gets that). He spent many a day trying to keep his "card" on Green (or Yellow 1); however, those Red Card days were the worst! And then there was the dreaded day that after being on Red for 3-straight days, the young lad returned home only to find that every item related to Star Wars (lightsabers, movies, games, action figures, pj's and even underwear) had been removed from the house. There was also the threat of suspension from school as a result of drawing a picture of a gun. Quick.... call the SWAT Team! All in all it was a fabulous year, and Colby learned bunches -- he even had to refresh the memory of his mom and Margo regarding the number of planets that were in the solar system. And in Colby's words..... "Actually Mom, Pluto is no longer considered a planet." The year flew by and Colby's mom is extremely grateful to Mrs. Stevenson for being so patient with him and recognizing that he is quite the sweet and special little boy!

The infamous gun picture that almost resulted in the 6-Year Old being suspended from school. It actually is a pretty good drawing of Princess Leia's Blaster (which is what it was intended to be); nonetheless, it created quite a ruckus and caused quite the stir!

Only 7 kids showed up for the last day of school.... needless to say, not much was accomplished. However, the word on the street is that they watched movies and danced to cd's.

Colby & Mrs. Stevenson

With the hallway being this empty -- Colby was tempted to break the rules, walk on the wild side and take off running!

"Okay, seriously Mom.... it's time to put the camera up!"
