Over the 4th of July Holiday weekend, Colby experienced several "firsts" in his short life of five and one-half years. The first "first" was the picking out and wearing of a life-jacket. Colby and his mom ventured to Academy and after a very careful process of elimination, the Spiderman life-jacket was finally selected. The second "first" was swimming in water other than the bath tub or a swimming pool. Colby and his new friend, Mason, transformed themselves into waterbugs and splashed around in Lake Hamilton. And finally, the third "first" was riding around the lake........ in a boat......... on the water (boat shows don't count). As the boat was careening over the very choppy waves, Colby looked at his mom and screamed, "going to the lake is far more fun than going to the Arkansas River!" Not sure where that came from, as the only time he has been near the Arkansas River was to drive over the Interstate 30 and 630 bridges. Nevertheless, Colby and Mason had a fabulous time playing together and the sweet child was asleep before the car ever hit the highway to take him back to Little Rock.

Being taught, by Russell, how to look for pretty girls on the lake
