Saturday was a big night as Colby, his mom and best-buddy Russell (Ressell as pronounced by Colby) headed over to Alltel Arena for Monster Jam 2008! In anticipation of the loud noise, family friend, Big Bad Bob loaned the little man a pair of headphones to wear during the event. The headphones were such a hit, that Colby went to bed in them Friday night and woke up Saturday morning with them still on. A great time was had by the two kids (the five year old and the thirty year old); however, mom (the forty-one year old) was bored after the first twenty minutes and resorted to playing Solitaire on her cell phone. I mean just how many times can those big 'ole trucks jump over the same beat up cars? The answer to that is mind-numbing.... two hours worth!! At intermission, much to his surprise, Colby got to see the trick motorcycle riders and the BMX bike riders, and that, my friends, is all that he has talked about for four days. Needless to say, this was one of the highlights of his young life.
