Last week, Colby's mom finally lost her ever-loving mind and adopted a second dog (as if we've recovered from getting the first one). The theory was that Holly, the rather large and over-zealous Golden Retreiver, needed a friend to play with during the day and that Colby needed a smaller dog that he could actually walk without having his shoulder pulled out of socket. But the truth of the matter is that when Colby and his mom stopped by the Little Rock Animal Shelter for a visit, that cute little black dog (Corgi/Lab mix) just walked all over their hearts and there was no way that he wasn't headed to their house for a permanent home. Colby had spent the better part of the morning at the Doctor's Office glued to the television watching Thomas the Train, so.... when asked what he wanted to name his new, boy dog, he quickly said, "Thomas." And, so, that he was.
